
NYC Climate Justice Hub
The NYC Climate Justice Hub is a transformative partnership between the ÁñÁ«ÊÓÆµ (NYC-EJA) and the to advance climate solutions generated by frontline communities across the five boroughs. The Hub aims to expand climate and environmental research, policy analysis, and advocacy resources for the NYC communities most exposed to and burdened by climate and environmental risks. Six of NYC-EJA’s organizational members – (±á²¹°ù±ô±ð³¾),Ìý (Williamsburg and Bushwick), (Melrose and Greater South Bronx), (Lower East Side), (Hunts Point) and (Sunset Park) – are participating in the initiative to help usher forward community-led and -driven projects with the collaboration of CUNY students, faculty, classes, departments, institutes, and other support and resources across CUNY’s 25 campuses. Four CUNY colleges – , , and – serve as anchor campuses within the CUNY system while the serves as the Hub’s administrative home and clearinghouse.
The initiative is funded through a two-year, $4 million grant from the Waverley Street Foundation, which announced awards toÌý NYC-EJA and CUNY and other Climate Hubs across the country in November 2022. , and the NYC Climate Justice Hub was formally launched in September 2023 with an event held at the CUNY Graduate Center during NYC Climate Week.
